How does the Premier League table work?

The Premier League is the top division of English football and the most-watched league in the world. Twenty teams compete in a round-robin format (home and away), totaling 38 matchdays. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.

The top 4 qualify for the UEFA Champions League. 5th goes to the Europa League. 6th and 7th enter the Conference League. The bottom 3 are relegated to the EFL Championship.

If teams are level on points, tiebreakers are: goal difference, then goals scored. If still equal, head-to-head record applies, and as a last resort, a playoff.
